5 Star Lemon Gunpowder Green Tea-Green & White

This is a basic green tea from China's Anhui Province, Gunpowder is a good everyday green tea. The tea takes its name from the rolled leaf balls that are leaden in color and rolled like spent gunpowder, when you add hot water, they unfurl like beautiful petals. It is one of the most sought after artisan green teas. It is sometimes referred to as "Temple of Heaven Green Tea". This amazing blend has been enhanced with natural lemon flavor. Brewing Instructions:
Use 1 heaping teaspoon per 6 oz cup; heat fresh water until steam rises (180 F);let steep for 1 minute. Do NOT over steep or tea may become bitter. You can infuse the tea leaves multiple times. Green tea has been found to be a powerful aid in weight release programs. Contains less caffeine than a cup of coffee. Sweeten with SBS Teas Vanilla Moon Powder or Sweet Purple Haze Sugar.

Iced Tea Instructions:
Put 6 teaspoons of tea into a heat resistant pitcher. Pour 1 1/4 cups of freshly boiled water over the tea. Steep for 10-15 minutes or longer. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the tea into the pitcher straining the ingredients. Add ice and top-up with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to double the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water.
