Did you know that the shelf life for Rooibos is up to 3 years if stored in proper conditions? Rooibos, (pronounced Roy-Boss) also known as Red Tea, is an herbal plant that grows in South Africa. Rooibos is a flavorful and healthful alternative to tea for those seeking to minimize caffeine intake. Iced Tea Instructions: Put 6 teaspoons of tea into a heat resistant pitcher. Pour 1 1/4 cups of freshly boiled water over the tea. Steep for 10-15 minutes or longer. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the tea into the pitcher straining the ingredients. Add ice and top-up with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. A rule of thumb when preparing fresh brewed iced tea is to double the strength of hot tea since it will be poured over ice and diluted with cold water. |
