Teastory
I relize that not many folks know about my personal tea story. Growing up, I was pretty much a tom boy (imagine that lol) and the grandest tea we had in our house was Lipton’s and I know that was reserved for rare company as my folks were both avid coffee drinkers.
My introduction to tea was at my aunt's house at about age 9 or 10. She had quite the variety of "bigellleeeww" teas. Of course I was fascinated with the colorful packages. She told me what each one tasted like, though I was still at a loss as to what I was about to do.
I ended up trying constant comment and loved it. After that I always wanted to go to her house and try the different flavors. She let me use a real teacup (something I had never used even a kids set) and saucer.
Funny, I also had crushed ice for the first time at her house. I loved this little ice crusher thing she had. Anyways, I have had tea at several nice and not so nice places all over the states and Europe.
Still, I enjoy Teahouse Kuan Yin in Seattle.

I am not so big on fluffy bows etc. but do like the Victoriana type decor in the various tea rooms so go occasionally. If I even thought for a second I could get dressed to the nines and not get custard on my ample bossoms.... lol I would be dreaming. ;)
My favorite is tea with my son in the afternoons. I can't remember if I posted about it or not. I remember talking about it in a recent radio interview.
Nothing beats a nice cuppa with your kids, dh and the four footed gang. Except for the addition of fine friends.
