Tea Sippers Club

SBS Teas is getting ready to launch a Tea Sippers Club. Each month we will send you 1 or 2 new teas to sip. Descriptions of these teas will be included. What do we want in return for sending you these free samples?? We ask you to provide us with your input and comments about the teas--what did you like or not like about them. Were they something you would buy on a regular basis? We want to know about your preferences and tasting experiences. Also, we would like to provide you with insight and more opportunities to try different varieties of tea. This will help you expand your tasting pleasure and hopefully give you the opportunity to choose some new favorites. If you would like to join our Tea Sippers Club please email me Barbara@sbsteas.com and we will get back in touch with you about all the details.

Till we sip together again.

The smell of the milk-taste oolong was a bit hard for me to get past. I grew up in the South, so it reminded me of the smell of collard greens or turnip greens cooking. They always permeated the house with a sour smell.

The taste of the tea was pretty smooth and mild, though I'm not sure I could taste the milkiness... maybe a bit. Still, it's hard to disassociate smell and taste.

This smell may be typical of oolong teas; this was the first time I had tried an oolong. It was fascinating to watch the leaves expand while it steeped. I followed Barb's directions to use 1 t. tea and steep for 2 min.
