Vanilla Lapacho Tea - Organic-Gourmet Tea

Our vanilla Lapacho tea is a healthy alternative to most beverages with a wonderful vanilla taste. Naturally caffeine free and all organically grown!

This beverage is actually the inner bark taken from the Tabeuia avallanedoe to make lapacho tea. The trees suffer no harm when their bark is peeled off as they grow again relatively quickly. The tree is native to the tropical rain forests between Mexico and Argentina where it can live for up to 700 years. It is known as the divine tree. The watery extract from the bark was used centuries ago for natural healing, and later, the Indians in Paraguay, Peru and Bolivia made tea from the lapacho bark as a drink to enjoy and to heal. History indicates that the native peoples have been using this beverage for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. It has been used as a treatment fevers, infections, colds, flu, cancer, arthritis, diabetes and many more ailments. We cannot make medical claims and if you are under the care of a healthcare provider, we always reccomend discussing alternative treatments prior to use.

We are offering pure, organically grown South American Lapacho. It has a mild taste and faint spicy notes. Try it by itself or blend with Yerba Mate. Also, available in regular and berry flavors.

Brewing instructions:
Add 4 level teaspoons to 32 oz of boiling water, let simmer for 5 minutes and let steep for 15 minutes. Or, use 1 teaspoon per 6 oz cup and steep for 10 minutes. Sweeten with SBS Teas Flavored Sugar Powder or Sweet Purple Haze Sugar.
